“A few years ago, a hot water heater broke, and I was lucky enough to find Mike, from Old Pueblo Heating and Cooling. Not only did he give us a great water heater, he was really honest and gave us a great deal. Our water heater has been great ever since. Since then, he has worked on our air conditioner to make it run better. And best of all, he installed a room … I think they’re called mini-splits … but it’s a room air conditioner, high up, and for heating also, which has allowed us to keep our bedroom cool while turning up the air conditioning in the rest of the house.
Even better, as I discovered this last winter when it was so cold, my grandchildren take their naps in their bedroom, and I was able to use the heat pump to make the room toasty warm, which gave them great naps, and gave me a little more freedom. “I live in a historic house – an older house. I had been looking for someone to replace my air conditioning units, which were 35 years old. I was looking for higher efficiency units, and I happen to see Old Pueblo Heating and Cooling on the street – the truck – and I actually called the number. I was getting bids, at the time, for the units. I got bids from four different contractors, and Mike came out, and he was the only one who gave me a bid who did heating and cooling load calculations on my house.
I also had – because of the age of my house – a sticky situation with where I was going to be able to place the unit. I was told it would not be able to be put in the same location as the previous unit had been. But, Mike was able to work it out where he was able to get it where I really wanted it to go. And was the only one who was able to do that.
And, in addition, he was able to fit-out my units with higher SEER quality than the other people that I had gotten bids from. I’ve been very lucky to have Mike as the contractor to work on my air conditioning, and I would recommend him to anyone. I think he’s one of the best in Tucson.”
